How to get CCTP certified for under $100

Updated October 27, 2026 by The Therapy Tap team

Short answer: two self-paced online courses include the Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) certification, and both are available for $99.90 through the special partner links on this page (the CCTP Intensive is normally $399.99). Both come from a well-established, accredited CE provider and are taught by leading trauma clinicians.

What CCTP is

CCTP stands for Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. It shows that you have completed structured training in assessing and treating trauma. Clinicians use it to show clients and referral sources that trauma work is part of what they do. It sits alongside your license; it doesn't replace it.

Your two options

CoursePriceCE hoursCertifications included
CCTP Intensive Training Course$99.90Up to 12.5 CE hoursCCTP
Trauma & Grief Dual Certification Course$99.90Up to 30 CE hoursCCTP and Certified Grief Professional (CGP)

CCTP Intensive Training Course with Eric Gentry, PhD and Robert Rhoton, PsyD is the focused option. Eight modules take you through assessment (including ACEs and the PCL-5), grounding and containment, narrative exposure, EMDR and bilateral stimulation, CBT techniques, and grief and loss.

Trauma & Grief Dual Certification Course covers the same trauma ground and adds grief: more than 60 grief interventions for children, teens and adults, plus traumatic and prolonged grief. For the same price you get more CE hours and a second certification.

How certification works

  1. Watch the course at your own pace.
  2. Pass the CE quiz at the end.
  3. Send in the short certification questionnaire. The certification fee is included in the price.

Which one should you pick?

If you mainly want the trauma certification and a clear framework, take the CCTP Intensive. If you see grieving clients too, or you want the most CE hours for your money, the dual certification is the better deal.

CE approval depends on your profession and state. Before you buy, open the credit details on the provider's page and check that your board is listed.
